Country Trust’s 2020-2021 snapshot

A message from our CEO, Jill Attenborough.

This year, with your help we have provided joyful, enriching opportunities to tens of thousands of children.
Forging a connection with the land that sustains us all supports children’s physical, emotional and educational wellbeing in a way that’s desperately needed. But why should any child miss out? Our ambition now is to provide for children at a totally different scale, and we have a 5 Year Plan to map out this new territory. It’s daunting, but with your help, we know we can do it.

A snapshot of our 2020-2021 school year

Connected 4,442 children with the land, across our Farm, Residential and Food Discovery Programmes

Supported 24,984 teachers and pupils through our new Farm in a Box Programme

Welcomed 31 new farmer hosts from a diverse range of farms

We have grown and strengthened our team – Farm and Food Discovery, IT, Digital, Fundraising and Programme Management

Developed and launched a new CRM database enabling us to connect with many new schools located in the areas of highest deprivation

Set our sights on growth. We’ve finalised our five-year plan alongside our Theory of Change, aiming to engage 120,000k children by 2027

We are proud of what we have achieved in the past year with your help. However, the need for our work is growing. As part of our new 5 year plan, by 2027 we’re aiming to support 120k children per annum… and it starts now.

In 2022 we're striving to support..

25,000 children Farm Discovery

1,500 children Food Discovery

800 children Residentials

36,000 children Farm in a Box
