Warburtons wheat is a winner!
Children from Aylburton Primary School in the Forest of Dean had an extra special 'Discover Warburtons Wheat' visit to Pardon Hill Farm recently as they were able to ride in Farmer David's fantastic trailer, get critical input from Warburtons Head of Quality, get to grips with the technicalities of wheat with Warburtons Cereal Development Director, talk tractors with Openfield's Director of Development and most importantly discuss the relative merits of crumpets, fruit loaves and the 2 million other baked products produced by Warburtons every day with Brett Warbuton himself!
The highly successful 'Discover Warburtons Wheat with The Country Trust' programme has now drawn to a close for another year. The amazing famers who grow top quality wheat for Warburtons have brought farming and food production alive for 800 children, ably supported by Openfield and Warburtons staff and family on many of the visits. Thank you to everyone involved, especially Warburtons for making the programme possible. We are all excited to be planning for next year already and are thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Food and Drink Federation Education Initiative Award!
