Ho, Ho, Hot chocolate!
Children from three schools in Wrexham, North Wales, Hafod-y-Wern Community Primary School, St Giles Primary School and St. Anne's R.C. Primary School, had terrific times making Christmas crafts, singing carols and enjoying hot chocolate around the campfire on their recent Farm Discovery visits.
They all took place at The Outlook Meadow, six acres of spectacular meadow and woodlands in Malpas, Cheshire and organised by our Farm Visit Coordinator, Mary Hext. Mary said “The children loved exploring the woods, gathering items for their Christmas decorations and seeing all the different colours around at this time of year – they particularly enjoyed building a leaf “snow” man!”
The teachers loved seeing the children outdoors as the visits gave them much needed time outside in the fresh air and all the children declared, “It was their best day ever!”.
