- £3 a month enables two disadvantaged children to experience a Farm Discovery Day
- £10 a month allows The Country Trust to support two inner city children to go and stay in the countryside on a Countryside Discovery residential visit.
- £26 a month is enough to pay for two children to learn to grow, cook and visit farms on a Food Discovery programme for a whole year
- £500 will fully fund a trip to a farm, where up to 40 children can spend a transformative day learning about where their food comes from
- £5,000 will fund a Food Discovery project for a whole year

Over the next few years, we aim to double the number of disadvantaged children who have the opportunity to experience the wonders of our working countryside. With a one off donation you can help us to provide more amazing adventures.

- £50 funds a transformational Countryside Discovery residential visit for one child.
- Every donation makes a visible difference to the children who need our help most.
You can help children to build the rich bank of experiences that most of us take for granted by organising your own fundraising event. Whether a bake sale, sponsored walk, skydive, clay pigeon shoot or barn dance, you can support us and have fun at the same time. We can provide you with materials such as downloadable posters and sponsorship forms, help you put together a press release and our Fundraising Manager is available for 1:1 support.

Often people choose to donate to charity in memory of a loved one, or ask for a donation instead of flowers at a funeral. It can be a wonderful and positive way to remember someone and celebrate their life, whilst supporting a good cause. Maybe your treasured memory is of them being in the countryside, toiling on an allotment, working on a farm, or teaching, and you feel their life resonates with our aims. If you would like to donate to the The Country Trust in memory, or would simply like more information, please do not hesitate to CONTACT US for support.
Help leave a lasting legacy by including a gift in your will to The Country Trust. When writing a will, we understand your first concern is to look after family and friends. But once you’ve taken care of your loved ones, please consider letting your values and passions live on by leaving a legacy to The Country Trust. Remembering us in your will is a wonderful gift of generosity, which will have a lasting impact on the lives of many children. CONTACT US for more information on leaving a legacy to The Country Trust.
You can read about life-long Country Trust supporter, Hunter Adair here. He explains why he believes leaving a legacy pledge to his favourite charity will make a real difference to children's lives.
“I have seen anxious children with very low self esteem begin to blossom – as though experiencing freedom for the first time, they return to school with a new interest and sense of pride that they have accomplished something special.”
Liz Siwek, Assistant Headteacher, St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, Keighley
The Country Trust welcomes the support and engagement of companies who understand the value of supporting our work, in bringing the working countryside alive for children.
Working in partnership with The Country Trust can bring real benefits to your company and your employees, boost staff morale, engage your clients or customer base, provide PR and marketing opportunities, raise your profile within the local community, help you to meet your Corporate Social Responsibility goals and much more.
"The work The Country Trust does in bringing alive the working countryside for children living in urban areas, usually from disadvantaged backgrounds, has a profound and positive lasting effect on them. We welcome the support of any company that meets our ethical policy. We are particularly keen to work with companies in the areas of food production, farming, agro-science, food retail, food packaging and distribution, and education, and our aim is to build partnerships with a deep mutual benefit.
Currently in development, companies will be able to support our work through this unique and simple scheme, which links your company donation directly to our projects. For example an annual ‘Gold’ membership of £5,000 can enable over 330 children to experience a Farm Discovery day OR it can sponsor an entire school class to benefit from a full year of Food Discovery.
Every company is different, with varying needs and requirements and here at The Country Trust we are lucky to have an experienced team who would work with you to develop a charity partnership that really adds value to your business and your employee engagement. CONTACT US for more information on how your company, staff and customers could get involved in supporting The Country Trust.
As a registered charity focused on educating and inspiring children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds about food, farming and the countryside, with low running costs and clear, tangible outcomes, we are closely aligned with the objectives of many charitable trusts in the UK. In 2015 donations from charitable trusts and grant giving bodies accounted for 75% of our income. Quite simply without the support of so many charitable trusts, large and small, our transformational work would not exist.
We are enormously grateful to our funders, including Postcode Community Trust, The Westminster Foundation and The Lance Coates 1969 Trust. Click here to read how Charitable Trust donations have helped The Country Trust’s work in the past 5 years.
