Our mission is to bring food, farming and the countryside alive for disadvantaged children in the UK who previously wouldn't have access to it.
Low income and family stress mean that children often miss out on the experiences that enrich our lives - day trips, holidays, meeeting new people, eating well, playing in green space and fresh air.
You can help to raise money to provide inspiring educational visits for schools in deprived urban towns and cities.
How deep will you dig?
Here’s what your money would go towards:
- Just £3 a month
enables two disadvantaged children to experience a Farm Discovery Day
- £10 a month
allows The Country Trust to support two inner city children to go and stay in the countryside on a Countryside Discovery residential visit
- £26 a month
is enough to pay for two children to learn to grow, cook and visit farms on a Food Discovery programme for a whole year
will fully fund a trip to a farm, where up to 40 children can spend a transformative day learning about where their food comes from
will fund a Food Discovery project for a whole year (based on an average class size of 30)

You can help children understand the importance of food and where it comes from. You can make a change today.
Dig Deeper into looking at the society around you
1 in 5 children in the UK live in poverty
It’s hard to believe that 1 in 5 children in the UK live in poverty. We don’t want them to miss out on inspiring learning experiences that open up their worlds and futures.
You can help children engage with nature, growing their confidence and giving them a new perspective on life.
