The Country Trust's Aims

  • To bridge the gap between urban and rural communities through showing the working countryside to children, their teachers and parents from inner city areas
  • To widen horizons, enhance appreciation of and respect for others through first hand experience of rural life
  • To promote knowledge, interest and understanding of the land, rural life and the countryside, to educate and inform, and to encourage a better and more positive understanding between urban and rural communities of our natural resources, cultural and architectural heritage
  • To offer opportunities for positive personal development and increased self esteem through experiences that challenge preconceived ideas and encourage teamwork and cooperation with peers and adults.
  • The Country Trust is a national educational charity registered with The Charity Commission no. 1122103.
